SAF Open House 2011

Jiu Jiu is working at the SAF Open House today and we went over to check on him and see what he is doing there :)

When we reached, there were quite a lot of people and they were alot of planes displayed for everyone to take pics with. Some of the planes are even open for people to sit in too! But all of these planes have super long queue of people who wanted to try out sitting on the plane.

One thing for sure, they did not forget about the kids. There are games and activities catered for all kids, just like a mini carnival.

Nice trip overall :)

Cold Storage Kids Run!

It's the time of the day that mummy has been waiting for! What is it? It's Cold Storage Kids Run that mummy has signed me up for :)

We wake up real early today and get dressed for the event. I was still alittle sleepy when we arrived but when the run started, I suddenly became wide awake and joined in the group of people running along the road. It was fun! Best of all, I got a medal after the run too! It was a great, healthy and fun day for me :)

A day at MBS

We decided to go MBS for a stroll. It was a nice, cool evening and it made the walk along the coastline of MBS really great. I had a great time running up and down the wooden pavement and mummy had a good time taking pics of me and everything else.

We love the place! Will be back soon!

It's weekend again and this time, daddy and mummy are more well-prepared to bring me to the park. They have brought along a lot of toys for me to have fun with at the park. Look at how we enjoy the day with different types of toys. But the best entertainment throughout the day is sand play for me. That's the only thing that made me stay stuck there for a long period of time ;)

It's the time of the year! It's Mother's Day!! This year we went to JB to celebrate mother's day. A day of shopping and food and fun for everyone :) We went there around noon and head straight to the new shopping mall, KSL, for lunch. After that, we had an afternoon of shopping time at the mall. It was pretty crowded as there were some road show at the mall.

Next, we went to Tesco to shop for groceries and later head to a chinese restaurant for dinner. Luckily we went quite early for the dinner as the place started to get very crowded not long after we were seated down. The food was good! We had a stomach of good food before heading straight back home ;)

That's this year's mother's day event. Let's see what will be plan for coming father's day. :P

The Parks

Weekend again! That's the only time that all the adults are free to bring me out for a long day outing :P

West Coast Park has become daddy and mummy's favorite place to bring me out to because it is near and with many playgrounds that can drain out all my energy at the end of the day. Nonetheless, I'm happy and really enjoy my time there.

Other than that, I have been going to Botanic Garden too! But too bad, on that weekend that we plan to have fun at Jacob Ballas Children Garden, it started to rain shortly after we were there. Never mind, there's always a chance to go back and have fun there again :)

East Coast Park and Family-cycle

It's the time of the week where we go out for some outdoor fun! Today we went to East Coast Park for a hearty breakfast at Macdonald's and later head off to rent a nice family bicycle for a leisure ride.

The weather was sooooo good that it was scorchingly hot and sunny that we ended up with the nice shady family bicycle. While riding along the park, we became the center of attention as we seem to be the only one around the corner with the big shady bicycle. Nevertheless, I had a great time enjoying my milo and raisins while daddy and mummy riding furiously. You will know what I mean when you look at the pics ;p

Fun time at the Botanic Garden

It's sunday! Mummy planned to go Botanic Garden. It was not sunny as it had been raining overnight so the ground was abit wet. We had a short walk there and went to the huge green field for a game of soccer. It was really fun and I had a really great time running around and kicking the ball.

After the game of soccer, we had a short break and slowly made our way home. As usual, I knocked out while on the way home (>_<)

Mummy took a short break from work and spent some quality time with me :) We had the chance to go out every day and having lots of fun. At the same time, mummy also made me a kitchen playset as promised months ago... :P

Look here! Isn't it nice? I have been playing with it since then. Every morning I wake up, the first thing is to tell mummy that I'll be cooking...and that became my daily acitivty (^_^)

Life without dudu - Part 3

Yippee!! Mummy is super happy that she, at least, manage to break off with my beloved at night. Now she's working hard to break me off with my beloved in the day. Kinda difficult but no matter what I will have to get it off soon or later.

Life without dudu - Part 2

Today we went for a movie day out with my friends! Then we head off to yoshinoya for lunch, take a little walk and finally back home. I was requesting for dudu on the train while on the way back. But mummy said she left it at home...sigh...no choice...gotta sleep without it for now.

When we reached home, I cried for dudu! This time I cried really hard for it till hiccups came right after. Mummy has to coax me to quiet down. It was too hard for me to sleep without my beloved dudu this time round. Before I fully calmed down, I started asking for it and cried agaaaaaiiiinnn!!!!

Mummy had a hard and painful time trying to make me to sleep without my beloved. After an hour of struggling and having thousands swords piercing through mummy's heart, I managed to sleep without it. Mummy's hoping I break off with my beloved soon before I fall even more deeply in love with it.

Life without dudu - Part 1

Tonite mummy forgot to give me my dudu when I go to bed. In fact, she said she left the dudu at popo's house. Amazingly, I didn't cry for it. Instead, I keep rolling on the bed for an hour plus before I go to lalaland. It was tough for me and mummy's heart felt abit painful but she's happy for me that I manage to sleep without dudu, well....for the 1st half of the night.

Better than nothing right??? ;p

A little step made to make me quit dudu.....gonna work harder next time.

Excursion

It's a sunny and bright Sunday. Looking at the good weather, Gong gong and popo decided to bring me for an excursion to the fish and goat farms :)

First stop was the Qian Hu Fish Farm. I had a great time running around the area and admiring those fishes swimming in the fish tanks. Gong gong even bought a pack of fish food for me to feed the fishes in the pond too!

Next stop - Goat Farm. There wasn't any chance to get near the goats but we do get a chance to get a taste of goat's milk. It was yummy! Look at how enjoyable I am drinking up the bottle of goat milk ;)

It's my day! Daddy and mummy brought me to Safra at Jurong for a good swimming lesson. It was really fun and I had a great time there. In fact, I don't wanna go home after that. I just can't stop running around in the water even though I was already shivering from the cold water. Well, as you know, with my small size, I can't fight against my daddy and mummy ;p

Gong Xi Fa Cai -- 2011

It's Chinese New Year!! As usual, we have many visitings to do but this time round, we also get to take it easy as it's mummy and mine birthday during this period too!

We celebrated mummy's birthday at Keppel Bay and mine at grandaunt's house. We didn't manage to take alot of pics. Here's a few for your viewing.

1 night in MBS

We have booked a hotel room at MBS over the weekend to celebrate our birthdays! The room was huge, clean and cosy. I was jumping with delight the minute we entered into the room as the full length window enable us to have a nice view of SG. The weather wasn't bright and sunny but nevertheless I love running around in the room and having the fresh fruits that were available.

We spent the day taking a walk at the MBS shopping malls. It was huge and I get to see many gor gors and jie jies learning ice-skating at the mall too. After the walk, we went back to our room for our mini celebration. And here are our cakes of the day from Sweet Spot! It's nice but it's too rich and just like it's name, SWEEEEEEETTTT!! Mummy had toothache after having the cakes :P

Next day, we were preparing for a swim at the famous infinity swimming pool. But it rained non-stop that day so we have to call off the event :(

Overall the stay was good! Daddy, mummy, can we come back again??

A walk in the nature

It's weekend! Today's activity is to bring me to a nature park so that I can explore and experience the feeling of nature. Guess where we went? That's Bukit Timah Hill!

By the time we reached, the carpark was already full and there was a long queue of cars waiting for parking lot. In the end, we parked at the roadside just like everyone else who wants to go for a walk but can't find a decent parking lot in the carpark.

It was a short hike for daddy and mummy but a long one for me as this is my very first time here. Initially I wasn't dare to get down to walk and insisted on mummy to carry me. Finally they manage to distract me with a long tree branch that I can use to walk and play with it.

We reached the submit and I had my good time there observing what other kids and adults are doing on the top of the hill. It was a cool and breezy morning. We had our little snack time there too! We rested for a short while and we started walking down the hill as daddy and mummy are hungry!

Next stop was Old Town at Bukit Timah. The overall food and service were quite bad. Especially mummy was way too disappointed with it. No more next time at Old Town Bukit Timah.

Hey everybody, Happy New Year!! To celebrate this occasion, we took a short trip to Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh. It was a short but fun trip. I had a great time exploring around the places and tasting their local food. Yummy...

The first day we arrived, the place was full christmas decorations. We noticed there were many people queuing, even on the streets, to take pics of the x'mas decorations. We didn't join the queue but we took some pics at the hotel lobby.

Next, we proceed on to have lunch at the famous restaurant. It serves nice authentic Vietnamese food and they have open concept kitchen which is quite interesting. Everyone of us walked around the area and explore the food that they sell/serve. Finally food came and everyone starts tucking away. :)

After lunch, with the heavy tummy, we took a walk around the area till the next meal time. Dinner time was more of a western food. As usual, a nice and relaxing walk after the sumptuous dinner. The place was not as hot and humid as Singapore because I do not perspire like tap water as usual ;P

The next day, we went out shopping. Daddy, mummy and friends bought a lot of food/snacks to bring back home. It was heavy! When we were back in hotel, Sotong yiyi starts busying with the cost calculation and collecting $$ from everyone. I had my fun in yiyi's room while she's sweating out. hehehe....

In the evening, we attended a wedding banquet. This is the main purpose of the trip ;) We went out for a walk after the dinner, ended up at a dessert cafe and finally back to hotel for our "sweet" dreams.

On our last day of our holiday, we went out in search for local food, spend all the money with our last minute shopping and finally to the airport awaiting our flight back to SG. That's my short and sweet description of my Vietname trip. Hope you guys didn't fall asleep ;P

Box box boxing day!

It's Boxing day! Instead of trying out boxing at home, daddy and mummy decided to bring me to the science center.

Well, Boxing day is not actually to box each other on the day but traditionally, it's the day to open the Christmas Box to share the contents with the poor. Anyway, it's not really a huge celebration in Singapore. In fact, this year it happens to fall on a weekend hence we see alot of people, still in their Christmas mood, going out together with their friends and families celebrating the all time favorite holiday of the year.

It's a sunny morning and by the time we reached, there were quite a number of visitors queuing up to get the entrance tickets. Oh, not forgetting, this time there's a mini dinosaur exhibition too! Can't wait to see!

As you can see, there is not a single pic of me and the dinosaurs because no photography is allowed. Oh well....

Next stop, the water playground that I can't wait to go! Look how excited I am with the water play area that daddy and mummy had a hard time coaxing me to go home! :P I wasn't in swim wear though as daddy and mummy weren't sure if they wanted me to play there but in the end, with my pathetic look...you can tell they won't disappoint me...heee...

After this, anyone can foresee kids will knock out flat! No surprise for me too! Hope you had a great Boxing day! See you soon!

Berry Merry Chrismas!

Oooh....everyone's long awaited holiday is here! It's Christmas season of the year!! Noticed that everyone is busy shopping for christmas gifts but mommy has been quite busy and has very limited time to do christmas shopping. But nonetheless, mommy manage to squeeze in some time to get presents for everyone no matter big or small, young or old :)

Of course, not forgetting me in daddy and mummy's list! They went shopping around for a suitable gift for me too!

This year's Christmas is a cosy and simple affair. It is also the time where everyone get together, eat and be merry. On top of that, this is the period where kids can't wait to open all the nice christmas pressies (^_^)

Oh ooh...not forgetting the happiest moment of my time is when I get to play the sparkles with Jab gor gor and Alyssa jie jie at Auntie Jenny's house! I'm so loving it!! But mummy almost had heart attack when she watched me play...hehee

My first trip to winter wonderland - Korea!

Mummy had been busy with the Korea trip arrangements. It wasn't easy to plan for the family and a toddler. Mummy had a huge headache and worry for me whether I can manage the cold weather there. Anyway, she bought a thick jacket for me from FOX and brought along many thick clothes for me too.

The day came for us to go Korea. We were all very excited! Flight to Korea was pleasant as I didn't make a fuss for mummy :P When we reached Korea, we get to meet up with the rest of the tour mates and in short while we became good friends! There were some kids during the tour and they were my playmates too! We had a lot of good time together. The trip was very enjoyable and fun.

Oh oh not forgetting, I get to play with the snow too!! Overall, the trip was an interesting and happy one :)

I can't wait to go for another trip! ;p

Universal Studio Singapore

It was Uncle Terry and Yvonne Yiyi's wedding over the weekend and all the relatives from KL came over to attend the event and at the same time took extra days off from work and have a holiday here. Yippee!!

Today we went to USS. It was a funfilled day with my cousins :) Mummy couldn't take much pictures of me because I have been running around with her chasing after me. Nonetheless, here are some pics for your viewing :) Enjoy!

Happy Children's Day!

Today is Children's Day!! Mummy and friends have organised a party for us! Can't wait to have fun. :)

Mummy got up and started preparing for the party. We reached Auntie Steph's house around noon for lunch before we start our party. We had a sumptuous dim sum lunch and, not surprisingly, the mummies have to eat and run after us at the same time. ;p

After lunch, we went back to Auntie Steph's house for the party. There was a short free play while Auntie Step's prepare herself for the story telling session.

Next, we proceed on to art and craft session. We were all given a container and stickers and we are free to paste the sticker anyhow, anywhere on the container. Auntie Steph then took our some marbles and paint to add more colors to our containers. Whoah lah! Our containers became very bright and colorful.

We put our containers to one side. All the toddlers have their clothes removed because we are going to do hand painting :) This is gonna be fun! Look at how we enjoy :0)

At the end of the painting session, all toddlers took our turn for a quick bath and have a little tea time. Very soon, many of us started feeling tired and slowly each of us started to fall asleep. It was a great and fun children's day for everyone of us! Hope to have this soon again!

My first flight to Phuket

Yeah! We're going on a short trip to Phuket!

Daddy and mummy have been planning for a short trip for some time and finally we manage to get the tickets and make all the necessary arrangements and proceed with the trip. We reached the airport early as we were supposed to be on an early flight but while waiting to check-in, the system went down and we had to wait for 2 hrs in order to check-in. But nonetheless, I had fun running around the airport with self entertainment.

We reached Phuket!! Daddy and mummy were super hungry and they head straight to the restaurant for their lunch while I have fun at the kid's corner.

After lunch, it is time for my water therapy. Look how enjoying it is to bathe in such a huge tub (^-^)

Overall the trip was fun and exciting! I get to see and even sit on an elephant. I get to run around in all the open space area with lots of new things to explore. I get to meet new friends too! Can't wait for another trip ;)

Today, mummy's gonna test my motor skills again!

There was a mini bunch of plastic balloons that was used on my birthday cake during my 1yr old birthday party and I have "destroyed" the balloons by plucking it all out from the "stem". Mummy collected all the mini balloons and took out a sieve which she never use and don't think she will ever use...went to the bathroom and collected a small basin of water.

I was really excited when mummy called me to join her in the bathroom!! I can't wait to play with that basin of water although I don't know what mummy is trying to do!!

Next moment, mummy put all the mini balloons into the water and guided me to take each balloon out using the small siever. This was really fun! Mummy also counted with me while I try to take each balloon out of the basin :)

Mummy was happy that I am doing well with my motor skills and also follow her on counting.

Hope I can have this activity every weekend! I'm so loving it! ＼（＾＾）／

Weekend activity @ home

Mummy has been shopping for some art and crafts materials for the past few days and this weekend she's going to organise some arty activities for me.

Today, we had some fun doing some water color painting using my hands! Here's what daddy did to my hand...

Now...I have to do hand-stamping on the drawing paper...

Wa la! See all my hand painting on the paper? It's fun but I still prefer to play with the brush and the water color :P

Kinder Kinder Music!

Daddy and mummy signed me up for many different types of trial classes with many different schools and finally they have decided to sign me up with Kindermusik after 2 trial classes with them.

Today is my first lesson with Kindermusik and I'm excited about it :)

Mummy felt cold during the trial lessons so this time round, she dressed me up with long sleeves T and pants. See...how do I look?

We arrived a bit too early for the class so we dropped by Chillies for a nice afternoon tea break before we head off to the class. The waiter and waitresses there are very friendly and nice. They keep me entertained while daddy and mummy enjoy their meal. ;p Well, I think you can guess how nottie I am...heee....but still, daddy and mummy need to entertain me once in a while too...

During the class, there's no photography allowed so no pics of me during the lesson. *Bleah*

It's time for our little one's gathering again! I just love the company of my friends :)

Mummy ordered KFC for lunch for everyone and we, little ones, get to have a fair share of it too! After lunch, while the mummies were busy chatting, we were busy roaming around the house with the toys.

We had a lot of fun! Hope we get to meet up again soon! :)

It's a long weekend and we're all going KL for the holiday. Activities in KL are as usual that includes gathering and gathering, food and lots of food! Not forgetting I had alot of fun with all the other little cousins too!

On the last day of the trip, grand-uncle David brought us to a mini stream with cool water flowing down the stream. After that we went to a supermarket to stock up our necessities and head on back to Singapore.

A very short trip but it was fun :)

After seeing how happy I was and how much I was enjoying the trip to the Bird Park, Daddy and mummy decided to bring me to the zoo this time! Yeh yeh yeh!

At the zoo...Daddy showing me the animals...

Amazingly, the zoo is not only about animals. It is also about plants too! There's a mini area or orchard that grows plants/crops and it has signboards that explains what they are. Isn't that interesting?

Now let's continue to stroll further into the zoo when suddenly a strong wind just blew and I started to try "catching" the wind! Look at me!

Oh oh...not forgetting to tell you, I get to feed the little goats too! Many children were seen picking leaves from the ground and fed it to the little animals behind the cage. So I follow suit and picked up a little leaf and feed a little goat that came up to me. It was fun!

Last but not least, we went for animal show followed by a merry-go-round ride before we leave the zoo for the day. It was a fun-filled trip and I would love to come back again!

Birdy birdy...come play with me...

Mummy and friends made arrangement to bring us out for a Bird Park field trip. We gathered at the entrance and head on straight to the free show. Before the show starts, the mummies give the little ones some snacks before we started to get impatient. Well, we started eating and exploring the place. Even during the show, we are still eating and exploring the place rather than paying 100% attention to the show unless there's a big bird flying over our heads. kekeke...

Here's what we are doing during the bird show :)

After the show, it started to rain abit and all of us went for shelter where there is a shop for the kids to roam around freely. Luckily the rain stopped after a short while and off we continue our journey to explore other attractions within the Bird Park.

Before the little ones are tired, all the mummies and daddies hurried off to the play area. Guess what, our eyes all brightened up when we saw "kids' heaven"! That's right, it's the Children's Play Area -- Splash N Slide Station! This is the 1st wet and dry playground in Singapore without the requisite splash pool. There is actually a wet and dry activities area and both are separated into 2 sections. No doubt, I head straight to the wet area. Look how I enjoy the wet playground ヘ(^_^ヘ)(ノ^_^)ノ

I had so much fun at the play area! Am so loving it! Daddy and mummy were very happy that they brought me here after seeing how much I enjoyed myself there. After an hour of play time, now is time for filling up the tummy. We all head straight to the cafe outside the birdpark and had a nice simple but sumptuous meal. Guess I must be superbly hungry and thirsty as I sit quietly in my baby seat enjoying every mouthful of food and drink.

We were all satisfied after our tummy filled with food. Back to the penguin area again for us to enjoy the view of the penguins swimming around in the pool before we finally head home.

Genting, here I come!

Nope! This is not my first Genting Trip. I've been there before but this time, at least, I know what is going on around me. The weather wasn't as cool as the last time we came but nonetheless I enjoy running around rain or shine.

There are many rides and games in Genting but not all are suitable for little boy like me...but daddy and mummy still bring me around and take those cute little rides with me without fail :)

Not many pics taken during the trip as everyone is busy enjoying the rides and the crowd. Maybe next trip will have more pics, ya?

Happy Anniversary to Daddy and Mummy!

Today marked the X year of daddy and mummy's wedding anniversary. To celebrate this occasion, they went for a nice, cosy dinner at Marmalade Panty. Of course, they do not forget to bring me along to celebrate this joyous occasion with them (^o^)

The environment was great. I get to enjoy the food too! But the kiddy meal that mummy ordered is too plain for me. I prefer daddy and mummy's food instead. What about my food? It ended up in mummy's tummy because daddy also can't gobble up the plain kiddy food too! Hee...

Dinner and fun time @ Marina Barrage

Gonna celebrate 2 occasions today...yiyi's birthday and father's day too! I'm gonna have so much fun as the dinner will be at Marina Barrage. Before everyone's arrival, gong gong and popo brought me out for a walk on the barrage - a dam built across the Marina Channel to form Marina Reservoir. It's gonna be a long walk for me if I wanna reach the other end of it. Of course, we got no time for that and all of us can't wait for dinner to be serve soon.

There were many kites on the pump house itself. From the barrage, which has a better view, gong gong carried me up and showed me all the kites that were flying in the sky.

Soon, everyone is here and dinner commences and I have my share of the dinner too. Look how much I'm enjoying my food *(^O^)*

Mummy is being sent to London for work for 2 weeks!

Well, I don't really, exactly knowing or understanding what's happening at the moment. But I'm really enjoying the big area and new environment around me and the nice food at Changi Airport T3. Hee...you can't expect much from a little over a year old toddler right?? :P

After sending mummy off at the airport. I just wonder why mummy isn't around and for the next 2 weeks, Popo is wondering if I'll be good boy....hmm....

My first trip to Botanical Garden

Today is the day! Nope, it's not because it's labour day. It's because I get to meet my friends again! Mummy and her friends have arranged a date to bring us, the toddlers, out for a day at the Botanical Garden.

The place was nice and serene. Looking at the big green patch really makes my heart pump! I quickly got off from mummy's arms and ran in the field. Look how happy I am. The big big smile on my face tells it all.

Trial class @ Genius Space...so am I a genius?

Mummy's friends have been commenting that Genius Space classes are good and the teachers are able to connect with the babies who attended the class. So mummy sign me up for the class over the weekend. Here we are at Genius Space but we were told not to take pictures during the class as this will distract the babies...hence you only see me having fun before the class starts.

Daddy and mummy noticed that I enjoyed the class and so decided to sign me up but as we have some holiday plans for the weekend, the sign up will be delayed due to the limited make up classes.

Time flies! Mummy couldn't believe how time really passed and before she knew, I've upgraded to become a toddler. I've been toddling non-stop and, because of that, everyone at home is busy trying to catch hold of me wherever I "paddle" to.

Due to my super high sense of security, I need someone to hold on to so that I can glide around the house without worrying of falling down. :P Now you know why everyone is sooooooo busy "catching" me ;)

To satisfied my happiness of toddling, mummy took leave and brought me out shopping :) With so much space for me to explore, how can I not be happy?? kekee...

Today popo discovered something new about me....

I was sitting in my baby seat while popo fed me porridge...as usual, I can't sit still and I always tend to pull the whole chair up and, today, I almost fall back together with the baby seat because of that! It really is scary to me and to show that I am scared, I started patting my chest to show popo.

Popo is amazed with my new found action that she keep laughing and told mummy about it. Since then they keep asking me how to do that "scared scared" action....*bleh*

Gymboree Music and Play Trial

Mummy signed me up for the Gymboree Music and Play trial class at Harbourfront. We were late for class because I overslept...keke...

When we reached, I was more interested in the Gymboree Gym area and I really really wanted to jump into their play area to play but in order to gain access to it, mummy has to sign up for Gymboree Play and Learn class instead. Oh well, here I am being carried to the class by one of the teachers while daddy and mummy settle the trial class payment.

The class can actually be fun if the rest of the babies don't cry and shout in the class, provided the teacher able to catch their attention back, that is... It was a bit messy and teacher just continue with the lesson while the rest of the babies were crawling all over the classroom.

After the lesson, we went to have some light snacks at Pacific Coffee with me having fun on the swinging long chair :). We have a bit of time before my next nap, so daddy and mummy shop a little while before we head back to our home sweet home :)

Happy Chinese New Year! Yeh! I'm happy to celebrate this joyous occasion with everyone! On top of that, I get to go out everyday! My favourite hobby is to go "gai gai" heehehe...That's why!

This year is my first CNY and daddy/mummy are happy to bring me around to do visiting and at the same time introduce me, The Little Terror, to everyone （￣ー￣）

Yeh! I wanna go out and play! Daddy and mummy took leave today and brought me out for a nice and fun outing: The Polliwogs. Just for your quick information, Polliwogs is a children's and babies' play center located at East Coast Park.

Before I get started, let me have my tea break so that I have more energy to roam around. :) Here I am all ready to enjoy my snack in the kids' lounge area. **Not forgetting posing for mummy in this cute little chair**

Snack time over!! Now let's start to play! WOW!! The area is bright, spacious and roomy. I love it! I get to crawl around freely without daddy and mummy worrying that I will fall as the whole place is cushioned nicely. Guess which is my favorite play area? Answer is the ball pit! I just love "swimming" in the pool of balls! :D

Ok, after an afternoon of fun, is time to go home. Before we go, time for my afternoon break. :)

Finally the day has come! My birthday bash organized by daddy and mummy. They had been superbly busying preparing for my birthday. See how lucky I am! Mummy has been inducing me with Sesame Street when I was an infant and the most remembered character to me is Elmo! As a result, daddy and mummy planned an Elmo theme birthday bash for me :)

Daddy and mummy woke up early and head straight to the function room to deco the place. At the mean time, Popo make sure I am well fed and have enough sleep before my busy day starts.

Today is daddy's chinese medical follow-up for his bad nose and swollen eyes problem. So mummy and I tag along with daddy. When we reach the medical hall, the chinese sinseh and daddy went straight to the treatment room while mummy and me waiting at the entrance hall.

It's a long weekend and all of us went over visit great-grandma in KL. As usual, great-grandma's house got alot of mosquitoes and with the mosquito patch, it didn't help much. So Aunty Jac lent mummy a mosquito net to protect me from being attacked by the buzzing creatures while I sleep.

Healthy Baby Contest -- Earning my own diapers

Mummy's friend helped me to sign up for a healthy baby contest last week. Today, daddy and mummy happily dress me up as a sporty baby and off we go for the event held at CCK Community Center.

After the "test", we went home for a nap before coming back to attend the prize giving ceremony. But when we returned to the event hall, I couldn't help but fall asleep again....

Prize giving ceremony started and all the babies in other category who won themselves a prize looked so cute! Finally, winner for my category to be announced and to daddy, mummy surprised, I've own!!! It's a consolation prize but we are happy :) Not to say, daddy and mummy super proud of me now because I can earn my own diapers and some vouchers! haaa.....

Daddy and mummy brought me to the swimming pool for a swim and I freaked out. So mummy signed me up for a swimming lesson provided by Aqua Duck to train up my guts. Amazingly on that day, I did not cry or make a big fuss when daddy carried me into the pool. In fact, I was so happy and enjoying the swim that mummy can't stop clicking away on the camera...

Weekend shopping and eating trip @ JB

Uncle Terry and yiyi has suggested for a weekend shopping and eating trip. Main purpose is to celebrate popo's birthday.

Both daddy and mummy put their hands up for this trip because not only can they celebrate popo's birthday by bringing her out to shop and eat, they can also grab this chance to stock up alot of my stuffs like diapers, formula, and home stuffs like grocery and etc.... Well, this is what you call "kiasu" parents... hee...

Our first stop is Tesco, one of the huge supermarket in JB. Here I am sitting in the shopping cart enjoying the scenery...

Time for our dinner! We head over to Jusco, which is next to Tesco. The ambience of the restaurant looks so nice and grand, especially the baby chair! Take a look!

While waiting for the food...everyone was chatting away while I'm reading my book...I'm so hardworking (but mummy is rolling her eyes)...

After the dinner, we head straight back to Singapore as it was getting late. As usual, I snooooooze all the way back home. This is a great weekend for me! Oh and not forgetting... Happy Birthday, PoPo!

Mummy went to meet up her friends to learn sewing and she made a little terrier for me :) with taggies on it too! I love red, so mummy chose the red fabric to make the terrier front and brown to make a contrasting back. There's also my initial on it too!

Whenever daddy and mummy bring me out, people will come to us and ask or assume that I'm a girl!! Mummy will feel sad after hearing that comment and sometimes she will start wondering if I will become a sissy after that...hahaha

On the other hand, mummy feels proud of me due to the fair and smooth complexion (^_^) Anyhow, daddy and mummy really wonder and while putting on a bib for me they tried it out on my head instead to see if I really look like a girl... (>_<)

Weekend getaway @ Sentosa

Today is a planned weekend getaway cum gathering with Auntie Jenny, Joanna, Jasmine and Jessica's family. Auntie Jessica offered to book the hotels for all of us. Thank you Auntie Jessie :)

When we reached the hotel reception, gong gong and popo brought me to the waiting area while daddy and mummy busy checking in to the hotel. It's definitely a new environment for me and I am busy exploring the new place. Look how happy I am! I just love being out and about...kekee...

Finally, daddy and mummy managed to get the rooms they wanted and it has a nice scenery as it is facing the sea. I just love sitting by the window and looking at the nice sea view... too bad can't feel the sea breeze though...oh well...

Next thing to explore is the hotel's bed. Wooh... the bed is not bad...nice and soft...Look at my expression and you can tell how good it feels. Let me take a nap and later will go for aswim ;p

Oooh! The water is so cold that I don't dare to move. Just sit back and relax in my goosie float.

This trip is so fun! I can't wait for another getaway...hehe

Mummy signed me up for a trial class at The Little Gym @ Marina Square. Daddy and mummy were so excited that we were the first to reach the place. Initially, mummy was the one doing the exercises with me but there were some stunts that requires some strengths so daddy took over. I'm like a dumbbell for daddy during the class. At the end of it...daddy and mummy wonder if the gym is for baby or for the adults... :p

Loving and spoiling

I'm a baby, no doubt about that, and as day by day I'm growing up, my demands have becoming more and more. Grandma and mummy always say that I'm not easy to deal with because I demand alot of attention from them...hee...This has caused grandma and mummy so busy that mummy has been complaining she has no more "me" time anymore.

People around us have been telling grandma and mummy not to give in to me all the time as this can "spoil" me and my demanding behavior will become more and more aggressive. But some people says that my demand should be met so that I won't be such a grouchy baby. This leads to confusion to mummy. Should she "listen" to the first or the latter advice? Should she "discipline" me now or continue "spoiling" me? Will I become a "spoiled" child when I grow up?

Well...in order not to get further confused, Mummy went online and also check out some books on more information about baby's development and here is what she found:

From the book "Your Baby and Child"

The spector of a "spoiled child" hangs over many parents almost from the moment their first baby is born. The baby is fine and healthy, but if they are not careful they will "spoil him". What does that mean? "Spoiled rotten" makes children sound like pieces of beef, made disgusting by being carelessly left out of the refrigerator past their "use by" date, but children are not meat. Neither the definition of "spoiling" nor the preventive action to be taken is agreed upon, yet the concept causes endless misery -- and not only to the children.

Your charming baby will not become a selfish, demanding bratty 4-yr-old because he gets "too much" of any of that. There isn't any risk that your miserable, colicky baby will get spoiled by all the extra carrying and rocking he's getting. In order to become spoiled, a child has to see himself as an individual person, completely separate from everyone else. That's too sophisticated for babies and toddlers. Baby scarcely knows that there's a difference between his hand and yours. If he wants a finger to suck, the nearest one will do. Your toddler will start learning about your feelings when he is nearer to 2 than 1 year old. That's when he becomes intellectually capable of working out involved plans for power struggles like "If I cry and just keep crying she'll let me in the end".

What could a baby learn from this?
- "Don't bother to call me because I will not come until I am ready"
- "Don't tell me you are unhappy because I am not interested"
- The more you tell me what you need, the less likely I am to give in to you
- "Face it, kid, you are helpless"

In this situation everybody loses. The baby loses because his needs are not met, or are met only after so much delay that he loses his vital confidence that they will be met. After a few more such experiences of this policy, he will anticipate being left and become anxious, quicker to cry and fuss and slower to accept eventual comfort. Parents and caregiver lose because the less they meet the baby's needs, the more demanding he becomes.

Bringing up a baby is undeniably hard work; nothing can make it easy. But parents and caregivers who always meet a baby's demands as fully as they can and without unnecessary delay have less work, less drudgery and less stress.

Try to feel honored, rather than burdened, by your baby needing you so much and needing so much of you. He is probably the only person in the world who will ever love you 100% without criticism or reservation. You have everything to gain and nothing to lose.

Mummy told daddy about this...so in the end...I guess you know what's going to happen and change ;)

My first KL trip

Today wake up early as usual but it's a special day for me because daddy and mummy bringing me to KL to visit all the aunties and uncles and, of course, great-grandma too! I'm so excited.

It's sunday and I'm on my way to Genting Highland! All of us wake up early and started preparing for the family outing. Along the way, we stopped by the temple for some photo taking sessions and mushroom farm for our lunch...of course not forgetting my lunch too!

After the trip, we proceed on to Auntie Yvonne's place for dinner and father's day celeration. What an eventful day today :)

Auntie Kim and Uncle Lim took leave and brought us to the fishing village to buy fishballs and fishcakes. Daddy loves the pink kueh that was made by the shop which sells the fishballs and fishcakes. All the adults are so into the fish products and eating the pink kueh that they forgot to take pics of the traditional shop and their factory process...heee

Dinner time came and we went to a traditional wooden restaurant for our meal which is located along the river.

Mother's Day at East Coast Park

Mummy thinks that last week's mother's day celebration was abit too rush, therefore she planned for another celebration this week at East Coast Park. This time mummy bought a mini bouquet and a cake for popo, thanking her for all the hard work she has contributed for taking care of me and mummy. :) The cake looks really delicious and I can't take my eyes off it... :P

It was a bright but not too sunny day *whew* otherwise it will be too hot to stay outdoor...Oh! It's a very windy day and I fell asleep having the sea breeze blowing at my face... so relaxing... hehe...

After resting and relaxing at the park...we proceed on to Suntec for dinner... and here's the feast that everyone enjoys before we head back home...

Feb 2009 mummies and babies gathering

It's labour day! Mummy dressed me up and prep me for the Feb 2009 mummies and babies gathering at Auntie Jo's place... :) Can't wait to see all my new friends. Me and mummy were the first to reach the function room at Park Green, soon after, many mummies and babies came strolling into the function room. Within an hour, the place was packed with all the mummies and babies.

Nowadays weather is getting hotter and hotter. Mummy worried that I get too warm that she digged out all the sleeveless shirt for me to wear. Today I'm wearing my koala bear sleeveless shirt from Yvonne yi yi.

Popo came over and gave me a nice cool bath. I love the water so much that she gave me a foot spa after my bath! Look at me in my koala bear shirt and doing my foot spa. Just to let you know, the koala bear shirt is really like koala bear hugging me because it is tight fitting! Yesterday daddy and mummy brought me to see doctor for my 6-in-1 jab. They asked so many questions regarding me that the doctor has to calm them down...hehe...

Doctor said alot of these problems that I'm having are common among infants and told daddy and mummy not to worry too much. Just need to keep a closer look on me, as long as the problems don't get worse, I should be fine :)

Some of the problems that I have:
- reflux
- gagging when drinking my milk
- cold and sweaty hands and feet
- constipation
- nose block
- wheezing noise when I sleep etc...

Daddy has been bathing me most of the time unless he's not available and mummy will be the assistant. While daddy is preparing the water for me, mummy has already taken all my clothes off!! I feel so naked...but mummy said I look like an angel with the "dudu" and the nappy wrapped around me. *Bleh* What do you think?

Week 38

Is time for my weekly checkup again today. Daddy and mummy were planning to go shopping for my stuffs and also daddy to see chinese sinseh on his leg injury after my checkup. But their plans were cancelled. Here's why...

Once we reached the clinic, mummy does the standard checks as usual. When it comes to her weight, it was discovered that mummy's weight has dropped and doctor wanted mummy to admit immediately...

Mummy starting to get a little panicky. Both daddy and mummy went Delifrance to have breakfast and to relax themselves before admitting to hospital.

Week 34

Today daddy and mummy brought me for checkup. Doctor said I'm doing good and all the weight that mummy gained for the past 3 weeks all goes to me...Mummy so happy...hee

Now I'm 34 weeks old and I weigh about 2.2kg. Daddy and mummy are very happy. They can't wait to see me soon. Of course, I can't wait too but mummy hope I stay in her tum tum at least till 37 weeks so that I am more grown up. :P

Week 31

Today mummy and daddy brought me for checkup. Now I'm 31 weeks old and doctor said I have grown to 1.7-1.8kg. Daddy and mummy are happy to hear that I'm growing well.

After the checkup, daddy and mummy went to shop for snacks and proceed on to Rasa Sentosa for a one night complimentary stay. As for me, I get to enjoy the relaxation too!! The view from the room is beautiful as it's facing the swimming pool and the beach.

Not long after the check-in. There's a knock on our door. Daddy went to open it and got a surprise gift from Rasa Sentosa. It's a wedding anniversary cake complimentary from them. Sweet!

Week 18

Yeh! Mummy is now in 2nd trimester. Hope mummy is feeling better now as they say 2nd trimester is the honeymoon period. I'm now 18 weeks old and mummy is beginning to feel a suspicious flutter in her belly....hehe... That's me practising rolling, twisting, kicking and punching in mummy's tum tum!!

By the way, my brain are further specializing into the ones that serve the senses of touch, taste, smell, sight, and hearing. So mummy, don't anyhow eat ok?

Week 13

Daddy and mummy can't wait to know my gender. Today they are going to see the doc and ask him what's my gender...heehee....

Well... the doc told daddy and mummy that I will need to serve the army. Bingo! I'm a boy!! But I'm not going to show you my birdie...so embarrassing!! So here I am, my full body pic :P

Week 11

Mummy is still puking non-stop :( Now she has to see the doc almost every week to make sure I'm fine.

This week, I'm 11 weeks old. My ears are assuming their proper place this week and the fingernail and toenail beds are beginning to form. My little "pumpkin head" really is nearly as big as the rest of my body now. Can you see my formation?

Hi everyone, I have graduated!! Don't know what I mean?

Now I'm 10 weeks old and I have graduated from embryo to fetus, which literally means "little one." It also translates to "I'm just going to keep getting bigger and bigger and so is mummy's tum tum!" I have discernible fingers and toes, which will explain the steady stream of kicks and punches mummy feel in her tum tum. :P

Mummy starting to have morning sickness... and is getting worse. The doc has advised her to see him again to make sure I'm alright as she's not eating well. So here I am at week 8!

Mummy has been taking prenatal vitamins in order to assure proper growth and nutrition for me. See how much I have grown! I look like a little tadpole, don't I?

But poor mummy is not in good condition and doc required her to stay in hospital for drip as she is dehydrated.
